Most card usage problems are related to a handful of issues listed below. Please try the following:
- Check if the merchant accepts prepaid cards as a form of payment. We would recommend contacting the merchant directly. They should have contact information available on their website.
- Ensure that you are not using your prepaid card to pay for subscription services. Examples of subscriptions are Amazon Prime, Netflix, etc. Prepaid cards may not be accepted where merchants store credit cards for on-going or recurring purchases such as hotels, utility bills, car rental services, etc.
- Confirm the total order amount, including taxes and shipping is less than or equal to the card balance. For example, a $100 prepaid card can be used to make a $99.99 purchase but not a $100.01 purchase.
For online transactions: Confirm that the card details, such as the card number and billing address, you are providing during purchase match the card details given to you. You can also check your transaction history to see why your card is being declined by logging into your card profile.
